Step 1:

THEME

City Lights

Emerging from a summer of golf tournaments, external fundraisers and friendraisers, preparation for Fashion Week began in mid-August.

We wanted to highlight the heart of returning to downtown Rochester after being located in Henrietta for the last several years.

With this 2024’s fall venue being the Floreano Convention Center, we chose the theme of “City Lights”, a nod to the 1931 film starring Charlie Chaplin.

Step 2:

PROMOTION

Social Campaigns

The next step was, of course, to get the word out. I composed press releases and sent them to local news outlets around Rochester. We reached out to our old friends at Lamar for billboard coverage. Social media reels were churned out to generate excitement.

Step 3:

NIGHT OF

Creating Materials for Show

Programs were created in-house utilizing our materials available at The Center. Each program was a vertical booklet with the designers and performances listed within. Table tents, table numbers, and other printed materials were created in-house as well.

Step 4:

MISC.

Ticketing, Troubleshooting, Sponsors

Annother aspect to running an event includes the creation of the ticketing page, creating the venue maps for reserved seating, answering any attendee questions, and ensuring that our sponsors were thanked and displayed during the event.
